New York: McClure - Tissot Company, 1899. Four Volume matched set. Decorative green cloth covered boards with bright gold gilt on the covers of all the books and bright gold gilt lettering on the spines. Top page edges are gold gilt. Not ex library books. The bindings are firm. the books are square, the corners are fairly sharp. The spine top and bottoms show light fraying as do some of the corners. The books are very clean. All volumes have a gift inscription and a date written on the front end sheet , otherwise the bodies of the books appear to be notation and defect free. This is a hard set of book to find in very good condition. I have this book set listed twice to insure that it is searchable. . Hard Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

London: Sampson Low, Marston & Company, 1897. ~32 x 25 cm. A set in unusually decent condition. All the colour plates but 3 have their tissue guards (excluding the title pages, which probably never had them). The surface of the colour plates has not stuck to any of the guards. Only 5 colour plates have noticeably created a shadow on the opposite pages (achieving that through the guards). No ownership marks. Endpapers uncracked at gutters. Pictorial dustwrappers slightly darkened on the spines, and slightly edgeworn, but unclipped and protected in removable clear plastic sleeves. ~Robust packaging. Overseas customers should request tracking if required.. 1st edition thus. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. xvi,272 + 280pp., many col & b/w illus. Binding sound, text unmarked.
