1893. Manuscript. Snall archive of material concerning injuries allegedly sustained in a railway accident near Buttsville, New Jersey, March 3rd, 1893. There are three sest of documents: 1) three-page typescript legal complaint filed in U.S. Circuit Court for the Southern Distirct of New York by Charles F. Lothrop against the Lehigh and Hudson River Railway Comapny. The plaintiff charges the railroad with negligence in causing a collision from which Lothrop suffered various injuries. 2) five-page (legal sized) typescript report of H.K. Bradner, M.D. , April, 1894, regarding the alleged injuries of John Drum and Charles Lothrop suffered in the wreck. Dr. Bradner called upon a Salem, Massachusetts doctor who was also aboard the train and who had treated the plaintiffs Drum and Lothrop (and who stated that he believed they were not much hurt).
