The covers are tight and straight and a little sunned around the edges. The text block is firm and square and very lightly tanned, mostly around the edges. Not annotated; no dedications. Very good condition. Issued without jacket.

Very clean burgundy coloured end papers, with book plate on front paste down. Without the book plate would be as new. Unmarked cut edges. The text block is very tight and straight, as new, and clearly not read, with very clean pages. In fine dust jacket, almost as new, glossy with images of men on crosses to front. Tiny open tear on rear tail end by flap. Price clipped. Overall grading for book has to be fine due to book plate.

"The Clevedon Community Co-operative Bookshop Bindery Team" have gently cleaned the top of spine cover. Lightly marked end papers and very light tanning; brief dedication on front free end paper. Age-toned cut edges. The text block 'describes 108 types' of airplane and has '321 illustrations'. The pages are quite securely bound, not tanned or marked and quite bright. "The Bindery Team" have glued back together gaps between pp 32/33 and pp 96/97 to stabilise the spine. Good condition. In quite good blue bevel edged cloth boards, black titles and sea creature and floral motif to front. The covers are fairly clean; a little wobbly from cracked hinge; edge-worn, corners bumped and frayed. The rear free end paper is marked, the front end papers are lightly marked, with names of previous owners; the centre is split and shows the webbing.Dark tinted top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are slightly tanned. The text block is in very good condition for age; with tightly bound pages, straight and only very lightly tanned on most page edges. With 435 beautiful b/w illustrations. Publisher's list to rear. Condition overall is good. Without jacket.

Tightly bound, almost clean covers, spine sunned, corners and spine ends frayed. Fairly clean yellow end papers; school book plate on front paste down. Top cut edge dark brown; the fore and tail edges in mottled red, fairly clean. The text block is very good, but loose from covers at front, not tanned, light foxing on last page and early text pages. Overall in good condition and very good for age. Rare.

Front board embossed with gilt owl motif. Spine is tanned and worn at joints, ends frayed, small split in top front joint, extending to inside hinge, otherwise binding is good. Front and rear free end-papers are tanned. There is a tissue guard for the frontispiece. There are a few foxing spots to prelims and end pages. Top edge is guilt, fore- and tail-edges slightly tanned. Text block in clean condition. Ribbon marker intact but frayed at end. A very nice copy.
