Description:
Glen Ellen, CA: Entwhistle Press, 1990. Signed by Paul Williams on the title page. First edition / First printing. Illustrated wrappers. Very fine. Paul Williams was the founder of Crawdaddy Magazine, which he created in 1966, a year and a half before Jann Wenner founded Rolling Stone. A pioneer of serious Rock journalism, he is considered by many to be the founder of the genre. Williams was a close friend of Philip K. Dick. A crucial supporter whose writings, including a 1975 Rolling Stone profile, and later the book: Only Apparently Real, rescued Dick from obscurity. Only Apparently Real was the first biography/critical study of Dick's oeuvre, published 4 years after Dick's death.
