About the author

Godfrey Gumbs is Professor for Physics at the Hunter College of the City University of New York, and holds a faculty fellowship with USAF. His research on low-dimensional electron and hole systems and on quantum mechanical properties of the charge carriers in nanoscale semiconductor structures and devices has earned him numerous scholar- and fellowships awards, among them a Fulbright Senior Scholarship to Israel. Danhong Huang is Senior Physicist with the Space Based Advanced Sensing and Protection Branch of the US Air Force Research Lab, with prior assignments e.g. at the University of Texas and with the MIT. His research centers on development of theoretical understanding of solid state and heterostructure physics and developing tools for computational modeling
