About This Item
Paris: A. And W. Galignani, 1828. Leather Bound. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Octavo. 718 pages. Hardcover bound in full brown straight grain morocco, with cover designs ruled in gilt and in blind. The binding is bumped along the edges and moderately worn. There is some scuffing to the binding, especially to the back cover, but overall it has a nice patina. All edges gilt. The end papers are darkened and there is sporadic foxing throughout the text. Includes a folding facsimile letter showing Byron's writing and signature (the letter and signature are a facsimile and are not his actual writing). Engraved frontispiece; no other illustrations.
