Brad A. Alford, Ph.D., a Diplomate in Clinical Psychology (ABPP), is currently Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Scranton, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of Mississippi for training in clinical psychology and applied behaviorism, and later was a Fellow at the Center for Cognitive Therapy, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Alford's research and publications have examined empirical, theoretical, and philosophical aspects of behaviorism and cognitive therapy. ?Aaron T. Beck, MD, until his death in 2021, was University Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and President Emeritus of the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Internationally recognized as the founder of cognitive therapy, Dr. Beck has been credited with shaping the face of American psychiatry, and was cited by The American Psychologist as "one of the five most influential psychotherapists of all time."
