About the author

Brian Douglas Tennyson was director of the Centre for International Studies at Cape Breton University, where he is emeritus professor in its department of history. He has written/edited fifteen books on Canadian political and military history, including most recently The Canadian Experience of the Great War: A Guide to Memoirs (Scarecrow 2012).
