About the author

The Author: Chris A. Costantakos, a student of Demetrios Dounis, holds a Ph.D. in music from New York University. As a violinist, he played with various symphonies, under the baton of Oscar Straus, Sigmund Romberg, David Mendozza, Bob Stanley, Walter Hendl, George Sebastian, Freder Weissman, and Christos Vrionides. He was a member of the faculty at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and presently teaches in his Brooklyn studio.
