by S. S. Brown; R. Dybker; H. Olesen

From the publisher

The task of the clinical chemist in the health system is to obtain and communicate information on the chemical, biological, physiological and sometimes physical properties of patients. This information is needed for the prevention of disease, for diagnosis, for therapy, and to learn about disease at the molecular level. It is essential that the properties measured in the clinic and the results communicated from the laboratory to the clinician are correctly understood. To avoid misunderstanding in this vital transmission of data, a set of rules is needed.
