About the author
Taha Egri received his BA in Economics from Bogazici University and his MA in Economic Policy from Istanbul University. He is a PhD candidate and Research Assistant at Istanbul University's Department of Economics, and is currently a Visiting Scholar at George Mason University. His research interests relate to institutional economics, the political economy of revolts, with a particular focus on Arab revolutions, and Islamic economics. Necmettin Kizilkaya is currently an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Theology at Istanbul University. He received his BA in Theology and his MA in Islamic Law from the Faculty of Theology at Marmara University, and his PhD in Islamic Law from Selcuk University. His research interests relate to Islamic studies, especially Islamic law and economics, and focus on the history of Islamic law and the sub-genres of Islamic law, such as qawa'id and furuq. Dr. Kizilkaya is also currently working on Islamic economics and contemporary issues from a legal perspective.

As NewThe book is pristine and free of any defects, in the same condition as when it was first newly published.

Fine (F)A book in fine condition exhibits no flaws. A fine condition book closely approaches As New condition, but may lack the crispness of an uncirculated, unopened volume.

Near Fine (NrFine or NF)Almost perfect, but not quite fine. Any defect outside of shelf-wear should be noted.

FairIt is best to assume that a “fair” book is in rough shape but still readable.

Poor (P)A book with significant wear and faults. A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. Any missing pages must be specifically noted.
