About the author

Michael Zacchea served as a US marine for 14 years, most recently as a major in Operation Iraqi Freedom II. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart and was the first American to be awarded Iraq s Order of the Lion of Babylon. He has been featured in the New York Times, in several documentaries, on NPR, CBS News, and elsewhere. He lives in Brookfield, Connecticut. Ted Kemp is senior enterprise editor of CNBC Digital's coverage of global markets and finance. He has extensive experience as a foreign correspondent and previously worked as CNBC's London bureau chief, overseeing coverage of Europe and the Middle East. He lives in New York City."
