About the author

David Hanson, a bilingual lexicographer and a leading authority on Chinese-English translation, was once the only Taiwanese member of the American Translators Association, back in the 1970s. The electronic version of his Chuan-shi Chinese-English and English-Chinese Thesaurus was adopted by the National Taiwan University for students to practice English. Besides Success Comes from Solving Problems: 20 Taiwan Elites Tell Their Stories, he is also author of English Writing and Reporting (1976).
