To honor the 100th anniversary of Alekhine's birthday lesser-known Alekhine efforts are brought here into the public eye. The purpose of the book is to investigate Alekhine's quite fascinating non-tournaments efforts which took him all over the globe and made him the original frequent traveler. His efforts include the Franco-Russian Chess Champ's four barnstorming tours of the U.S. and Canada as well as visits to South America. Over 140 games, 88 diagrams. Algebraic notation.
Condition: Signed on the title page. Edge wear with bumped corners, some light soiling else very good.
