Description:
First UK Edition/First Printing; A Very Good book in a Good original dust jacket. A handsome copy of this seminal novel by one of the masters of 20th century literature, basis for the excellent movie starring Ralph Fiennes and Julianne Moore; scarce in the first edition. This copy is in very good condition with a square, tight binding, bright gold letters on mildly sunned gray boards, and clean o/w pages throughout; the book does show moderate shelf wear to the ends and edges and minor foxing to the page edges and free papers. Housed in a good original dust jacket that shows a loss of material at the spine head and the top of the front panel (approx. 1" x 1 1/2"), a couple of other smaller chips to the edges and corners, and moderate darkening to the spine end. Overall, a nice, presentable copy of a book difficult to find in the first edition with the original dust jacket. Not price clipped and not ex-library; in archival protection.

Description:
First edition/first printing; a lovely copy of this book which is the basis for the fine film starring Ralph Fiennes and Julianne Moore; this volume is tight and square with some foxing and browning to the front free end paper and the first title page and also to the external top text block, otherwise pages are clean and bright. Some mild rubbing to the spine ends is also present; housed in a beautiful dust jacket that shows very little shelf wear and absolutely no loss of material; the jacket is not price clipped and is clean and bright with some mild toning to the spine and some areas of minor discoloration. It would be hard to find a better copy for the price!
