Description:
The late David Dillon was the beloved architecture critic for the Dallas Morning News. Beloved architecture critic sounds odd, but he was. Beginning with the Art Deco buildings in the State Fair of Texas, for the Texas Centennial in 1936, he and photographer Doug Tomlinson document the big expansion of Dallas, Texas. They profile noted architects and write essays on planning and preservation and the significance of architecture on everyday life. Loads of beautiful photographs and great words. Photographer Tomlinson was a freelance photographer who has had a show at the Dallas Museum of Art. The book has a bump on the front right corner and a little stain on the edge of the bottom right, otherwise in near fine condition. The dust jacket has some slight edge wear and shelf wear. Both authors have signed on the first free end page (no inscription).
