The Chronicle printed three further articles on the First Fleet's expedition to Botany Bay, which for a long time was the only public account of the new colony in New South Wales. The four articles published in the London Chronicle on 24 March (No. 5058), 26 March (No. 5059), 28 March (No. 5060), and 4 April 1789 (No. 5063), are reproduced without change.
