A significant aspect of Tuma's career was her relationship with Georgia O'Keeffe, who became her mentor and took her under her wing. From that point Tuma flourished, a story which is recounted in this memoir. There are some light indentations on the covers that are present if one hold the volume to light at the correct angle.
