Composed in 1836 toward the end of Cherubini's tenure as director of the Paris Conservatoire, the Requiem in D-minor for men's chorus and orchestra received its premiere on March 23, 1838 at the Conservatoire under the composer's direction. This new vocal score is a digitally enhanced reissue of the one first published around 1860 by C.F.
