Culver City, CA: Columbia Pictures, 1957. Vintage one sheet poster for the US release of the 1957 British film.

Based on the 1953 novel by Nicholas Monsarrat.

Wealthy American Margaret Landi (Joan Crawford) agrees to be the caregiver for Esther Costello (Heather Sears), a fifteen year-old girl struck deaf, dumb, and blind in an accident five years earlier that killed her mother. Margaret's estranged husband Carlo (Rossano Brazzi) unexpectedly returns, declaring his love, his true intent being to exploit Esther for cheap financial gain.

Heather Sears won a BAFTA Award for Best British Actress.

Set in Cloncraid, Ireland.

27 x 41 inches. Folded, as issued. Very Good plus, lightly soiled, small hole at bottom center margin.
