Chicago: Dixie-Vortex Company. Very Good. 1937. First Edition. Hardcover. These DIXIE CUP PREMIUMS were given to a patron when they had 12 collectible ice cream lids with miniature photos of stars. After collecting the 12 needed lids required to trade for one photo, most children decided it was better to keep all 12 lids rather than trade them for one photo therefore increasing the high collectibility and scarceness of the premiums. A series of 24 different stars were published for each year along with a special cover. I These full-color large-format premiums feature beautiful artwork and rich color printed on heavy card stock paper. Each premium was designed with a color stripe & two holes along the left edge for easy binding in a scrapbook. Each year the color of the stripe & the lettering changed; thus, although undated, each year's issue is distinctive. The reverse of each 8 x 10-inch premium features 1-black-and-white stills from the star's recent films along with a few short paragraphs about the star & 2- sports stars have action shots along with a summary of their sports career. This set includes 23 of the 24 photos issued in 1937. Both the front & back cover are also included. Condition ranges from VG to NF (near fine) . Entertainment, Movie Stars, Hollywood, Cowboys, Baseball. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 23 pages .

The original Norwegian edition is very rare and OCLC locates one copy in Munich. Early translations into Swedish and Danish are uncommon. This play was a major factor in bringing Snorri's name before the Norwegian public. It was the first published Swedish tragedy that swept the nation and was quickly translated throughout Northern Europe and led to the publications of the great Norse legends in multi-volume sets. The front, back, spine and cover boards are in very good condition as well as the edges. There is minor bumping on the corners of all three books. The previous owners name is written on the inside of the front cover boards of all three books. The pages of all three books are tanned and yellowed but clear of any markings. This multi-volume set contains the complete plays of Eugene O'Neill.
