New York: Simon and Schuster, 1948. A wartime romance set in the French Alps. This is a Very Good (Plus) to Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Orange cloth binding titled in black on the spine, with author's reproduced signature on the front cover. Clean text; 152 pages; black topstain. Lightly rubbed at the margins, with two small "dings" to the front. The paste-downs have a glueing discoloration that seems to be common with this edition; publishing defect. The dustjacket is complete and unclipped; rubbed, with chips at the margins. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
