London: Theosophical Publishing Society, 1905. 4 VOLUME SET-COMPLETE. VERY HEAVY. Volumes 1, 2 & 4 are third revised edition (1905), volume 3 is first edition (1897). Uniformly bound in blue cloth, titled and decorated in gilt. Volume I: Cosmogenesis. xxii, 740pp. Front free endpper detached, rear hinge starting, some light toning, rubbed at corners. Volume II: Anthropogenesis. xvii, 842pp. Prev owner name pencilled on front free endpaper, rubbed at corners, small bookseller label on rear pastedown. Volume III: Spine with several chips (top and front centre), lacks front free endpaper and rear free endpaper detached, both hinges fragile. Volume IV: Indexes to Vols I & II. Front hinge broken, both free endpaper detached, rear hinge fragile. Loosely inserted title and single page of index to Volume III (the rest of the Vol III index is interleaved in the rest of the index as per publisher's instruction, corners rubbed. The set looks better than it sounds and is complete. All of these early printings are scarce in any condition.. Mixed Editions [First & Third]. Hard Cover. Good Plus/None, as Issued.. 4to.
