London: Rupert Hart-Davis, 1955. First Edition. Hardcover. Good +/Good +. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Cloth at the upper and lower edges of the boards and the spine rubbed and faded, with tape marks to the upper and lower edges of the boards and pastedowns. Abrasions to the pastedowns. Front hinge cracked, but the binding is sound. Previous owner's blindstamp to the title page. Some light staining to the fore edges. Dustjacket shows some general light wear to the outer extremities, and the flaps have been trimmed vertically, with the original text intact.
