Number 344 in Everyman's Library Classical series, the first of two collections of plays by Aristophanes in the Everyman's Library series. --- In flatback binding style 1, full pale green cloth-covered boards with elaborate Reginald Knowles-designed gilt spine titling & decorations, blindstamped J. M. Dent vignette to front cover, brown topstain and fancy Knowles woodcut art at title page endpapers & frontis. Lacks a dust jacket. --- The cloth is quite brittle, especially at the spine; with quite noticeably sunned and yellowed spine, small tears to head and edges of spine and some age-toning to leaves, otherwise a sound, unmarked copy.; 16mo (6 to 7 in. tall); xiii, 253 pages .
