New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1909. A collection of sixteen stories. This is a Very Good copy of the First American Edition; the first printing (stated "Published October, 1909"). Green ribbed cloth binding, ruled and with a Viking ship in black on the front cover; titled in gilt. Clean text; 324 pages. Frontis illustration and seven others within (illustration facing page 232 is present but loose). Mildly bumped; rubbing at the head and foot of the spine (some fray at the foot). A decent copy. First American Edition.. Hard Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
