"This is the most comprehensive work on the neo-classical furniture of the Adam and Hepplewhite periods to be published for many years. Mr Musgrave has himself made furniture, and his chapters on materials and processes, and on the various woods used, make his book invaluable to restorers and decorators as well as to historians of style and taste, connoisseurs, collectors and dealers." .
