About This Item
London, New York, & Bombay: Longmans, Green, & Co, 1897 A good to very good copy of an unusual tale of supremely confident infants, a sensitive dragon and wicked people. Rosamund Praeger is best known as a sculptor, but was also an artist, illustrator, poet and writer. She wrote and illustrated a number of books for children which tend to be difficult to find now. This copy is in the original paper covered boards with cloth spine, with titles and illustration to front board, and illustration to back board. There is some paper loss at the edges and corners of the boards with some professional repair. The surfaces are a bit scuffed but quite clean. There is slight bubbling to an area of the paper on the front board. The original brown endpapers are present with the blind stamp of W H Smith and Son, 1900, to the top of the fep. The contents are unpaginated. They are complete and clean with slight roughness to page edges and light toning to paper. There is the occasional small spot or mark. Book size 28.5 cm x 21.8 cm.
