San Francisco: John H. Carmany & Co, 1872. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. First edition with matching dates. Hardcover with beveled boards, full rust cloth binding with blindstamped decorative frame and gilt lettering and decoration to front cover and spine, rear cover blindstamped with front design, 9-1/8" tall, 368 pp. Very light wear and bumping to edges, gift inscription dated 1872, a 1955 newspaper article and cartoon about Frances Fuller Victor affixed to rear endpapers. There are several plants pressed between the pages with minimal ghosting, a few scattered words underlined or margin lines.
