Between 1750 and 1758 Theophili Georgi, a Leipzig bookseller and publisher, issued an ambitious bibliography of the world's books. The 'Allgemeines Europaisches Bucher-Lexicon' in five volumes, represents the last attempt to create an up-to-date list all the books ever printed. This 5th volume contains an A-Z listing of French authors and books from all disciplines from the 16th century through 1753. Book sizes and prices are listed.
