About This Item
Harper & Brothers. Red cloth with black label and gilt lines on the spine. Lightly bumped at the spine tips. Fade spot about the size of a dime about 1/4 up from the bottom of the spine. Probably from a water splatter. Slight fade spot on the bottom left corner of the back. Otherwise bright and strong with clean pages. Previous owner's name and date on the flyleaf. Stated first edition. Silver and blue dust jacket is rubbed along the top edge of the front with some slight chipping at the top of the spine. There is a hole about the same size as the waterspot on the boards at the very same length from the bottom. A couple nicks at the bottom of the spine and a 3/4" closed tear at the bottom left corner of the front. . Very Good. Hardcover. 1st Edition. 1939.
