Bound in blindstamped brown cloth, this antique volume is a travel book intended primarily for an audience "of Scotch blood, the Scotch-Irish, whom I so much admire. ... It was written to recount my observations while among them - to give valuable facts in relation to them and their history" (from author's introduction). Appendixed to this work is a genealogy of the Dinsmoor-Dinsmore family. The work is illustrated with a frontispiece photographic portrait of the author. The volume shows external age/wear, with water markings to spine and chipping to the same. The book is solidly bound with mildly age-toned.
