Harrisburg, PA: The Board of Commissioners for the Geological Survey, 1887. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original pebbled cloth binding with text on spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The rear board has the cloth starting to come loose at the lower outside corner, this issue can be easily repaired as it just tucks underneath the rear pocket. Interior binding of the text pages is good but the front and rear hinges are cracked the only reason for the condition grade of G-minus. Pages are toned due to age and there is some light foxing present. The first end page contains the name stamp of Herbert Elder. No handwriting found in the book, no library markings present. Both the front and rear boards have pockets which contain a total of five maps which all appear to be in good condition. Other than the name stamp there are no other markings found - no handwriting, no library markings present. His book is part two of a four-part series as stated on the title page. The page numbers start at 575 and ends at 918. for a total of 343 numbered pages.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
