New York: Royal Baking Powder Co. Very Good. 1929. First Edition. Hardcover. Blue cloth with gilt title lettering and decoration. 100 pages. Color illustrations of baked items throughout; black and white step-by-step photography instructional photographs. The cover is slightly bowed with scuff marks; the fore edge is worn. Within the text block is some spotting, particularly in the 'cakes' section. Overall a moderately clean, solidly bound copy. Recipes are for non-yeast foods such as biscuits, cakes, popovers etc., there are also section on table setting, the school lunchbox, the evolution of baking powder, menus for special occasions etc. In 1929, the Royal Baking Powder Co., along with four other companies merged to form Standard Brands. ; 8vo .
