About This Item
Sir D Hunter Blair and M S Bruce (Printers), 1828. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket. Complete. A benign copy. The front pastedown has a clipping from 'The Cape Argus' for Oct 27, 1914 which is a letter from Theo. L Schreiner (Olive Schreiner's brother). The brown boards have blind stamped decoration. They are scuffed, worn, marked by shelving and handling all about. Despite the scruffy aspect, the boards are comfortable and sure. The contents have evidence of age and use throughout. The end papers have tape residue. The frontispage has a previous owner signature (M Cairncross). The contents are contented in their authority. They do have some wear, some age-related marks, some very occasional foxing. The guttering along the pages of The Book of Judith Chap X, v.3-Chap XI, v 22 have been 'repaired' with packing tape by a previous owner... Otherwise, the pages are firm, clean, clear, earnest, orderly, tidy, decent, agreeable. fk. Our orders are shipped using tracked courier delivery services.
