New York: Borzoi Book by Alfred A. Knopf, 1948. Book. VG-. Hardback. First Thus. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Hardback bound in blue cloth-covered boards with gilt title on the spine. Book has light wear at top and bottom of spine and a faint discolored area on the cover wit former owner's address lable on first end page. Dust jacket has missing chips and edge wear with rubs along the folds. Expedition to the north with black and white maps, photos and illustrations including a large fold-out map of the North Pole. This the First Borzoi edition after the 1934 Viking First Edition. 334 pages plus an 18 page Index and the Folded Map. .
