About This Item
De Luxe edition, one of 1500 copies of which this is No. 51.
Reissued in 1959 and 1998, but the reissues are a pale reflection of the beauty of the original chromolithographs. Now rare complete with all 44 plates present, many copies having been disbound to have the plates framed.
We note some small repairs to the cloth boards, a bump on one edge, and two mended marginal tears on the title page else this is a near fine copy.
