A scarce limited edition of 350 copies designed and letterpress printed by Graham Moss and Kathy Whalen on Magnani paper. This is copy number 249 of 350. This folio is bound in tan cloth appearing on the spine and fore edges with patterned paper-covered boards. The slipcase houses a book and a specially-designed portfolio. The portfolio contains facsimile sketchbooks and a CD of artist Peggy Angus taken from the tapes author Carolyn Trant made while working on this book with her. On the CD are a few of Angus' life stories from the 1940's opening with Peggy Angus singing "Raggle Taggle Gypsy O." The book, portfolio and slipcase are in excellent condition. Author Carolyn Trant was one of Peggy Angus' students. Peggy Angus was a craft worker, designer of handprinted wallpaper and tile designer. Heavy and oversized. According to John Randle, 'Art for Life is a "rich tapestry of a book if there ever was one, and a magnificent achievement for any small press ... the style and three-dimensional approach suit the Angus mood perfectly." This copy is no. 517 of 1000. 703 pages, colour frontispiece and black and white images throughout. Original cream cloth binding with paper on-lay to the front front board, very good with a little general wear and rubbing, a little dust marked. Contents clean and tight, minimal spotting to page edges, otherwise unmarked. A very good copy with outstanding provenance signed by Luc Haesaerts..

Original limited edition, this copy is one of only 150 printed on Arches paper, with one original etching in black on the front cover (Femme nue couchee tournee a droite, Delteil 14). this edition includes 40 reproductions by Renoir in Black, sanguine and in color, executed by Daniel Jacomet. This copy, however, is missing one of the black and white reproductions. Aside from the missing print, the book is in fairly good condition. The front and back covers are tanned, page edges are lightly aged and the binding is loose.

A miniature version of the original large format, leather bound, limited edition of Gawain produced by the same press in 1997 and which won the Society of Bookbinders competition for the complete book in that year. This much smaller concertina book measures 13.5 x 17.5 cm, having green paper covered boards with a wood cut image to the front and 40 concertina sections containing 20 woodcut images on hand made Nepalese lokta paper with accompanying computer generated text. Signed by the artist on the final leaf. The book is housed in a dark green cloth solander box with a gold embossed image to the front and lined with green and gold marbled paper.
