About This Item
London: Thomas Nelson and Sons Ltd, 1907. Some water-staining to the spine and back of light blue cloth-covered boards, but gilt titles on spine and red floral design on spine and front cover are all still bright, as is the small colour picture of a little girl selling flowers which is fixed onto the middle of the front board. No publication date given, but was a school prize in 1907 (''for Diligence in her Classes''). So a good clean tight copy of this hard-cover Victorian novel for children. The story involves a woman who moves to a country village to help look after some young children. The usual mildly moralistic stuff. 176pp, 4 full-page b&w illustrations.. Hard Cover. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Petherick, Rosa. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
