In original green cloth, blindstamped on boards, titled in gold on spine; yellow endpapers; 207pp; wood-engraved frontispiece depicting "Gold Miners at Work." Ink inscription to f.f.e.p., dated 1855. A straight, sound copy, much rubbed, foxed throughout: Good. With a chapter on "The Gold Fields of Australia--The Discovery, the Excitement, and the Crowd." First published in London by the Religious Tract Society (see FERGUSON 6295).
