Kensington, 18 March 1819. 3 pp. 9 x 7 inches, address panel, torn at seal opening, otherwise fine. Uncommon. Vice-Admiral Robert Jackson (1765-1852) served in the West Indies, at the reduction of Martinique (1794), then on the Queen Charlotte (flagship of Admiral Keith), in the Mediterranean, the Egypt expedition, Flag-Captain to Lord Keith in the North Sea and Channel stations, and from 1812-15 in the SanJosef, Queen Charlotte and Ville de Paris.
