Autobiography by the commander of the Tuskegee Airmen, famous for their flying skills and their trials in the U.S. military in the '40s. He retired as a three-star general. With a foreword by L. Douglas Wilder. Tight and crisp copy with very light wear to boards and very faint smudging on bottom page ends. Else clean inside and out. Dust jacket has slight corner bumping and top spine has some creasing. Creasing along edges of back cover with a little chipping on bottom. Red of spine has faded somewhat. Nice copy.
