Berkeley: Berkeley Barb, Inc, 1973. Newspaper. 26p., folded tabloid, illus., evenly toned, edgeworn, address label and a few spots of foxing on on front wrap, else good condition. Berkeley's longest running underground newspaper. Articles on Ruchell Magee's trial, Mark Essex (known as the New Orleans Sniper, Essex killed nine people, including five policeman, in a two separate attacks on December 31, 1972 and January 7, 1973. He was African American and was believed to have been motivated to kill white people in retaliation for the racism he had experienced while in the Navy), Vietnam Veterans Against the War, and more, plus the usual sex and massage ads.
