He boldly inscribes and signs the front flyleaf in green ink: "To / Bob Malott / With warmest / regards to a friend / and colleague who / searches for truth / and justice. / Sol M. Linowitz." Linowitz (1913-2005) was a top-level attorney, businessman and diplomat. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist.
