Book #21 in the girls' series of 26 books orig. published 1934-1955 featuring the adventurous Beverly Gray, starting when she was a college student & following her through her career as a reporter. Orig. published in 1951, then reprinted by Grosset & Dunlap, this is a FIRST printing of their edition. Hardcover small 8vo has medium blue cloth over boards, Beverly in silhouette in center, black lettering & design to spine, in 212 pages + ad for next title. Condition is VG-: very clean, binding strong & straight, hinges secure. Pages moderately tanned, heavier around edges, commensurate with age, but completely unmarked save for former owner's name in neat pen to ffep. Moderate to heavy rubbing to extremities, bumping to all corners & both ends of spine. The unclipped DJ is Good+: bright & clean, but with a few noticeable chips, sticker pull to outer-upper corner of front cover, & light creasing; nicely protected in new clear mylar cover Free!
