Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company, Inc, 1948. First edition. Hardcover. Very good/very good. SIGNED. 275pp. Octavo [21.5 cm]; Blue cloth boards. The extremities are just a bit faded and rubbed. In the pictorial dust jacket, with periodic small closed tears and chips in the edges. Inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper. The inscription reads, "For Peep and Bill / a big book for our / little kids, with all the / love in the world- / from Theresa & Jim, / Seattle / August, 1948 / 3rd of Author's 6 copies.
