Handsomely bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in half crushed tan morocco over decorative boards, five raised bands with five gilt fleurs-de-lys, lettering and tail date, top edge gilt, decorative end papers, ribbon markers. A Fine set, with the original 73 full-page engravings designed by S. Freudenberg and 150 head and tail pieces by Dunker. Queen Margaret's bawdy tales of the 16th century French nobility. Samuel Putnam called her "The First Modern Woman". Handsomely bound, a set that would grace any fine collection. . Limited Edition. Half Morocco. Fine/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
