[2], iii-xxxi, [1], 1-481, [1]; [2], iii-l, 1-461, [7]; [2], iii-xlviii, 1-466 pp. Green cloth with gold lettering on the front boards and spines. Illustrated with color plates from drawings by Louis Agassiz Fuertes and figures and cuts from drawings and photographs by the author and others. Volume one with 33 color plates and 16 black and white plates; volume two with 29 color plates and 16 black and white plates; volume three with 31 color plates and 15 black and white plates. All three volumes have several full-page maps. With a biographical sketch of Edward Howe Forbush by John Richard May. A nice set of American ornithology, beautifully decorated. Faint foxing to the textblocks with volume three showing a bit of scattered foxing to its pageblock, volume two's front gutter is toned and the spine of volume three is a bit rubbed.
