London:: Gollancz,, 1949.. First edition.. Hardcover. VG+/VG-. 294pp. Tiny foxing spots to prelims: contents otherwise very clean and fresh. In the original binding of pale cloth: slight crimping of spine ends: firm and clean, although author's name on jacket has bled through faintly onto front board. Protected unclipped jacket rather tanned and soiled with 5mm closed tear to top edge.
