Loge, numbers 20 and 22, (C) Perry Lieber, 7-1/2 page original ribbon printout by period word-processing device, 8-1/2" x 11", one-time horizontal fold (now light), headed "The Blue Veil – Vital Statistics",in upper left corner "From Perry Lieber, RKO Radio Studios, Hollywood, Calif.", promotional/publicity article with content of various subjects including profiles on production people and actors, career highlights, costuming, sets, filming, props, and children in the film; RARE, no such items found recorded at WorldCat/OCLC (9/9/21) or found for sale (9/9/21) ///// NOTES: CARTHAY CIRCLE THEATRE was one of the most famous movie palaces of Hollywood's Golden Age. Located on San Vicente Boulevard in Los Angeles,California, it opened in 1926 and was demolished in 1969. (wikipedia); PERRY LIEBER: d.1988, joined the publicity department at R.K.O. Studios in 1930, working there for 25 years and becoming the studio's publicity director…He began his association with [Howard] Hughes in 1948, when Hughes purchased R.K.O. In 1955 Lieber moved to 20th Century Fox ("Perry Lieber, 83, Dies; Aided Howard Hughes", Associated Press obituary, Dec. 15. 1988); PROVENANCE: items are from career memorabilia of Hal Jacques, a leading Hollywood reporter active from the 1950s to '80s, acquired at an estate sale in Fairfield County, CT, others items included photos of Jacques at Academy Award ceremonies, opening nights for different movies, and attendance at celebrity events ///// CONDITION: well-preserved, light wear from limited handling.
